Who We Are
An independent foundation dedicated to your library
The Woodbury Library Foundation (WLF) is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation established to raise funds for the benefit of the Woodbury Public Library. With increasing demand for dynamic space, updated technologies, and new services, the Library must expand to meet the evolving needs of its patrons.
A comprehensive community assessment and strategic planning process made one thing clear: our beloved Woodbury Public Library is bursting at the seams. While the staff and programs are exceptional, the building itself is inadequate for the demands placed upon it today.
While the Library is funded by the municipal budget, public resources alone cannot fully support its capital or programmatic growth. The Woodbury Library Foundation exists to bridge that gap — strengthening the Library's future through donations, grants, and other funding sources.
Why It Matters
Libraries today are more than repositories of books — they are hubs of learning, innovation, and community connection. The Woodbury Public Library is a vital resource for our town, but its continued excellence depends on the generosity and foresight of private donors like you.
The Community Has Spoken
We have heard repeatedly from community members that there is a critical need for flexible spaces, improved meeting rooms, and expanded technology infrastructure. The demand is clear. The need is now.
Our Promise
Through careful stewardship and vision-driven leadership, the Foundation will honor every gift, large or small, by directing it toward the long-term vitality of the Woodbury Public Library.
